Classroom Library Donations
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Research shows that students in classrooms with high-quality classroom libraries read 50 percent more than students who do not have access to a library in the classroom.
With that in mind, MHS will hold a Book Drive during Back-To-School Night on Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m.
You will be able to drop off books by the main front entrance near Student Services, by the refreshments in the Student Center, and on the second floor in the English hallways. "Donated by" stickers will be available if families wish to place them inside the front covers.
Both new and used books of all genres are welcome and truly appreciated. These books are for use in classroom libraries. High interest teen reads are particularly sought, including fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels.
If you prefer to make a financial donation for use on books for classroom libraries, the English department encourages you to write a check to "MHS" and put "Book Drive" in the memo line and give to any English teacher or the main office.
If you prefer to make a classroom library donation specifically to Mrs. Haugland's classroom library, your child may bring books in as donations at any time during the school year. If you prefer to make a donation by purchasing a book for our classroom library, please use the button link below to view the Classroom Library Wish List on Amazon.
